At IU, Globus is already integrated with central storage systems, including Slate, Geode, and the Scholarly Data Archive, as well as with cloud services such as Google Drive and Microsoft OneDrive. It can also be set up on lab workstations or instrument control computers to automate data movement to central storage for backup or further analysis. This flexibility makes it ideal for both scheduled workflows and ad hoc transfers among collaborators.
